Rated 5 out of 5 by SuperNatural from Try It As A Regular Conditioner I have low-porosity 3C/4A hair, and I have been on the lookout for a new conditioner that doesn't smell like coconut - not an easy feat. I came across Emerge products at my local Rite-Aid, but they only carried the leave-in conditioner, not the regular conditioner or hair mask. I decided to try using this leave-in as a regular conditioner anyway. When I first applied it to my hair, I thought I had made a big mistake. Because it's a leave-in, it didn't coat my hair the way I was used to, and I assumed it wouldn't have enough slip for detangling. Wrong. I detangled without issue and my hair turned out the best it has in a long time - fluffy, defined curls from end to root. Try this as a regular conditioner - you might be pleasantly surprised!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nita from Okay Leave-In Conditioner I have low porosity, fine, 3B curls and this leave-in is lightweight with good slip. However, as with a lot of products with Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, it's doesn't give enough long-term hydration/moisture and just sits on top of the hair. It also doesn't have enough hold on it's own or when paired with a gel. So overall, it's a decent product for some lightweight moisture, but could use some ingredients to give curls deeper hydration and more hold.

It absorbed quickly, and didn’t leave any sticky residue behind. The hydration helped keep my curls intact, which was great! The only drawback- I think the product is supposed to be odorless, but it had a slightly unpleasant scent straight out of the bottle that quickly faded.

This is good for a quick wash day but not hydrating enough. I'm indifferent, the product is OK but not the best I've tried.
